Job summary

The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is seeking an HRIS Specialist at the Fond du Lac Tribal Center to manage data integrity, generate HR analytics, and support HR software systems. You will lead system enhancements, train staff, and ensure compliant data handling.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years HRIS experience with JD Edwards/Oracle/PeopleSoft, plus strong reporting and analytical skills. Travel is required, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Valid Driver’s License issued in the U.S. is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, computer science, or closely related field; 4 years professional HRIS experience with JD Edwards, Oracle, Oracle HCM, or PeopleSoft, or a combination.
Certification in HRIP or SHRM-CP preferred.
Experience troubleshooting technical issues and addressing problem areas.
Experience in HRIS databases and technology.
Experience developing, testing, and analyzing HR software.
Knowledge of word processing, databases/data entry, spreadsheets, and Outlook.
Effective communication in writing and speaking; ability to work independently.
Attention to detail and accuracy; strong prioritization.
Ability to establish professional relationships across projects.
Subject to drug/alcohol testing per Fond du Lac policies; background checks.
Subject to immunization review and required vaccinations.
Travel required.

Responsibilities

Conducts data audit and coordinates across HR, HRIS, and IT to action data.
Develops reports to meet business needs using HRIS tools.
Ensures data integrity and recommends solutions.
Presents findings to HR leadership and stakeholders.
Works in cross-functional teams to maintain employee data and priorities.
Provides data summaries and statistical analysis for planning.
Creates SOPs and training materials with HR leadership.
Analyzes HR processes and recommends tech-enabled improvements.
Monitors budget for software/hardware upgrades with HR leadership.
Maintains HRIS structures including supervisory and locations.
Maintains HRIS to support data management and reporting needs.
Leads specs, development, and implementation of new/revised systems and reports.
Provides end-user support and training; manages access for HR staff.
Travels to multiple work locations as needed; professional dress required.
Attends mandatory department trainings; maintains confidentiality.
Represents Fond du Lac Band positively in community and projects.
