Job summary

Macomb County is seeking an HR Specialist - Operations to assist with the full lifecycle of HR operations, onboarding, wage administration, payroll coordination, and HRIS optimization.

The role requires experience with Workday/Precision HRIS, strong data management skills, and the ability to support compliance activities under ACA, EEOC, ESTA and labor laws. Related travel and a non-exempt status are involved.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business Management or related field.
• Three years of HR or HRIS data management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred in HR/related field.
• Experience with Workday Core HRIS, time tracking, absences and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Workday and Precision HRIS to support employment, benefit and retirement processes.
• Contribute to wage, benefit and business process changes within HRIS systems.
• Assist with payroll earnings, deductions and retirement benefits in Workday.
• Prepare standard and custom HR reports for auditing and compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance to ensure record accuracy and data integrity.
