Job summary

The Arc of San Diego is seeking an experienced HRIS & Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely semi-monthly payroll processing using Dayforce. You will maintain Dayforce data and generate payroll, labor, benefits, and compliance reports to support informed decisions.

You'll collaborate with HR, Finance, vendors, and leaders to deliver excellent service, manage benefits, and drive process improvements. CPP credential is a plus and Dayforce experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5+ years of progressive payroll experience, multi-department processing.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets.
• Strong knowledge of payroll administration, taxes, wage/hour regulations, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end semi-monthly payroll processing using Dayforce.
• Maintain employee payroll and Dayforce data ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Create and analyze payroll, labor, benefits, and compliance reports to support decisions.
• Administer payroll programs including garnishments, deductions, retirement plan funding, and tax activities.
• Support benefits administration, open enrollment, vendor reconciliation, and carrier integrations.
• Partner with leaders and employees to resolve payroll and HRIS questions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements across HR and payroll.

As our HRIS & Payroll Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while serving as a trusted resource for employees, managers, and leadership. This is a highly visible position that combines payroll expertise, Dayforce HRIS administration, reporting and analytics, benefits support, and process improvement. You'll work closely with Human Resources, Finance, vendors, and leaders across the organization to deliver exceptional service and maintain the integrity of our people data.

What You'll Do

• Manage end-to-end semi-monthly payroll processing using Dayforce.
• Maintain employee payroll and Dayforce HRIS data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
• Create and analyze payroll, labor, benefits, compliance, and workforce reports to support business decisions.
• Administer payroll-related programs including garnishments, deductions, retirement plan funding, and payroll tax activities.
• Support benefits administration, open enrollment, vendor reconciliation, and carrier integrations.
• Partner with leaders and employees to resolve payroll, Dayforce HRIS, and timekeeping questions.
• Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement across HR and payroll operations.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 3-5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-department payroll processing.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze large, complex datasets.
• Strong knowledge of payroll administration, payroll taxes, wage and hour regulations, and payroll compliance.
• Experience with HRIS platforms; Dayforce experience strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential a plus.
