Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking an HRIS Specialist to maintain the HRIS system, ensure data integrity, and support HR, payroll, and IT with setup, configuration, upgrades, and reporting. You will act as the HRIS SME and drive process improvements across the platform.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Business or HR, 3–5 years of HRIS experience (Workday preferred), knowledge of HR laws, and strong communication skills. Banking experience is a plus; SHRM is a bonus.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge of HR laws and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data integrity.
  • Working knowledge of banking environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for HRIS challenges and reporting needs.
  • Manage HRIS updates, communicate changes, and ensure real-time data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance and IT to process business transactions.
  • Design and maintain HR data, dashboards, and standard/custom reports.
  • Support SOX audit activities and data privacy requirements.
  • Provide training for HRIS users and stakeholder guidance.
