Job summary

The State of Alaska is seeking a payroll support professional to provide technical assistance to the Statewide Payroll Services within the Division of Finance in Juneau. You will interpret collective bargaining agreements, statutes, and personnel rules while processing routine personnel and payroll documents.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or the equivalent and six months of advanced clerical experience.
• Six months of postsecondary education may substitute for the specific experience.
• High school graduation "equivalent" definitions are provided in the notice.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to the Statewide Payroll Services section for the Division of Finance.
• Processes routine personnel and payroll documents requiring interpretation of collective bargaining agreements, statutes, and personnel rules.
