Job Description

Avid Systems is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR & Talent Acquisition Lead to support both human resources operations and recruiting for our IT consulting and staff augmentation business.

This role is ideal for someone who can manage the full recruiting lifecycle while also supporting core HR functions, including onboarding, employee records, compliance, payroll coordination, benefits support, and HR reporting. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced government contracting and staff augmentation environment where recruiting speed, accuracy, compliance, and communication are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Staff Augmentation Support

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for IT consulting and staff augmentation roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, offer support, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Post job openings, manage candidate pipelines, and identify qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Screen candidates for technical fit, availability, compensation expectations, work authorization, and client requirements.
  • Support staffing needs for active contracts, upcoming proposals, and client requirements.
  • Partner with leadership and delivery teams to prepare staffing quotes, candidate submissions, and proposal-related staffing support.
  • Maintain accurate candidate, employee, and contractor records throughout the staffing lifecycle.
HR Operations & Employee Support
  • Perform day-to-day HR administrative and operational tasks in support of Avid Systems’ workforce.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related questions from employees, contractors, candidates, and vendors.
  • Coordinate HR meetings, employee communications, and management-employee follow-up items.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, employment agreements, and termination documentation.
  • Continuously improve HR processes, documentation, and employee experience.
Compliance, Immigration & Records
  • Support compliance with applicable local, state, and federal employment regulations, including requirements relevant to government contractors.
  • Conduct and maintain Form I-9 verification and employment eligibility documentation.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel on H-1B, Green Card, and other immigration-related matters for new and existing employees.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR files, employee records, PTO/leave tracking, and compliance documentation.
Payroll, Benefits & Finance Coordination
  • Support benefits administration, including health insurance, life insurance, and 401(k) coordination.
  • Assist Accounting with payroll documentation, compensation updates, benefits deductions, background checks, and related HR financial items.
  • Track employee and contractor timesheet submissions and coordinate with Finance to support timely payroll and invoicing.
  • Monitor purchase orders, remaining hours, and contract staffing data, and proactively communicate when action is needed.
HR Systems & Reporting
  • Maintain HR, recruiting, and employee data in Avid’s HRIS/HCM and internal systems.
  • Produce weekly HR and recruiting activity reports for leadership.
  • Track open positions, candidate pipelines, onboarding status, employee changes, timesheets, and compliance items.
  • Serve as a key user and process owner for HR and talent acquisition systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in HR, recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or workforce operations.
  • Experience recruiting for IT, consulting, government contracting, or staff augmentation roles strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of HR compliance, employment documentation, onboarding, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with HRIS/HCM systems, ATS tools, LinkedIn, job boards, and recruiting workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, candidates, employees, and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting IT staff augmentation or professional services recruiting.
  • Experience with government contracts, federal contractor requirements, or public-sector staffing.
  • Familiarity with H-1B, Green Card, I-9, background check, and work authorization processes.
  • Experience preparing recruiting reports, staffing dashboards, or HR activity summaries.
  • Ability to work directly with senior leadership in a fast-paced environment.
