Job summary

Culligan is seeking an HR Systems Specialist in Minnetonka, MN to act as the HR team's expert on UKG, reporting, and process improvement. You will optimize UKG configuration, dashboards, and data integrity while supporting payroll back-up and HR programs.

In this role you will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business leaders to streamline processes, implement improvements, and enhance the employee experience. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years HRIS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IS, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3+ years supporting HRIS, HR operations, payroll, or HR reporting.
  • Experience administering or supporting UKG.
  • Strong reporting and analytics experience with dashboards.
  • Experience leading projects and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and data confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator and SME for UKG and HR systems.
  • Configure workflows, security roles, business rules, and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide user support.
  • Ensure data accuracy through audits and compliance monitoring.

Job description

The HR Systems Specialist serves as the Human Resources team's subject matter expert for HR systems, reporting, and process improvement. This role is responsible for UKG administration, HR analytics, reporting, system optimization, and payroll back-up support. The HR Systems Specialist partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Information Technology, and business leaders to improve data integrity, streamline processes, and enhance the employee experience.

What You'll Do
HRIS Administration & Reporting
  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for UKG.
  • Configure and maintain system workflows, security roles, business rules, and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide support to HR, managers, and employees.
  • Ensure data accuracy through audits, validation, and compliance monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and analytics using UKG, Cognos, Excel, and related tools.
  • Support key HR programs, including open enrollment, performance reviews, merit planning, and workforce reporting.
  • Create training materials, documentation, and user guides for system users.
Process Improvement & Projects
  • Lead HR technology and process improvement initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, data quality, and user experience.
  • Manage project timelines, testing, communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with internal teams and vendors on system enhancements and integrations.
  • Support change management efforts and adoption of new tools and processes.
HR Operations & Payroll Support
  • Maintain employee, organizational, position, and benefits data within HR systems.
  • Assist with benefits administration, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Support employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and job changes.
  • Provide back-up support for payroll processing, audits, and reconciliation activities.
  • Participate in testing and validation of payroll and HR system updates.
  • Support special projects and other HR initiatives as needed.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of experience supporting HRIS, HR operations, payroll, or HR reporting.
  • Experience administering or supporting an HRIS platform, preferably UKG.
  • Strong reporting and analytics experience, including dashboards and data visualization tools.
  • Experience leading projects and implementing process improvements.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, controls, and data confidentiality requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • UKG experience.
  • Experience with Cognos, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • HRIS, payroll, HR analytics, or project management certifications.
