Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding and Pre-Employment Support: Assist with initiating and tracking pre-employment requirements, including background checks and drug screenings.
  • HR Systems and Employee Records: Enter new hire and employee information into the HRIS and maintain records across HR systems.
  • Compliance and Employment Eligibility: Review Form I-9 documentation and monitor required employee documentation and training.
  • Cross-Functional HR Support: Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR team to support onboarding and gather payroll-related information.
  • Complete other HR-related duties and projects as assigned.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Intern to support our HR team with onboarding, employee data management, compliance, and general administrative activities. This opportunity is ideal for someone pursuing a career in Human Resources who is interested in gaining hands-on experience within a collaborative and fast-paced professional environment.

Human Resources plays an important role in protecting employee trust, maintaining accurate information, and supporting organizational compliance. In this position, you will work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, business leaders, and HR team members to help ensure employees have a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience while supporting the accuracy and integrity of our HR processes.

All candidates must reside in the Cincinnati, OH area for this onsite role.

This is a temporary internship opportunity expected to continue through December 4, 2026.

KeyResponsibilities:

Onboarding and Pre-Employment Support

  • Assist with initiating and tracking pre-employment requirements, including background checks and drug screenings.
  • Follow up on pending results, discrepancies, and additional documentation as needed.
  • Upload and maintain onboarding documents within the talent management system.
  • Help ensure onboarding activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Support new hire orientation and other onboarding-related activities.

HR Systems and Employee Records

  • Enter new hire and employee information into the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Assist with processing employee updates, including changes to departments, reporting structures, and personal information.
  • Review employee records for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across HR systems.
  • Maintain organized electronic employee files and confidential documentation.
  • Support HR data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping activities.

Compliance and Employment Eligibility

  • Assist with reviewing and verifying Form I-9 documentation in accordance with federal requirements.
  • Help monitor completion of required employee documentation and training.
  • Support internal audits by gathering, reviewing, and organizing HR records.
  • Handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and confidentiality.

Cross-Functional HR Support

  • Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, business leaders, and HR team members to support a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Assist with gathering and organizing payroll-related information.
  • Respond to routine employee and manager questions or direct them to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Support HR projects, employee communications, reporting, and general administrative needs.
  • Complete other HR-related duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
