Job summary

Mark Twain Behavioral Health (MTBH) in Kirksville, MO seeks a full-time Human Resources Specialist to support onboarding, benefits enrollment, payroll changes, and employee communications. The role emphasizes collaboration, policy adherence, and involvement in quality and safety initiatives.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with two years of experience or four years of HR experience with certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field with at least two years of full-time experience.
• Alternatively, four years of HR experience with HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new employee orientation and onboarding
• Facilitate benefit enrollment and account opening
• Provide support to employees via individual and group communications
• Provide benefit changes for monthly payroll
• Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives as requested
• Participate in Health & Safety Initiatives as requested
• Assist with Health Plan and Supplemental Benefits Open Enrollments
• Complete Timesheet reviews for Recovery Technicians
• Provide employee training as indicated
• Participate in team meetings
• Provide support for the coordination of marketing materials to the community as assigned by Director of Marketing and Community Development
• Assist with social media management as requested
• Represent agency publicly at community events as assigned
• Create department materials for events and communications
