Haynes and Boone, LLP in Plano, TX, seeks an HR Specialist to own full-cycle recruitment for professional staff and to support learning and development efforts. This exempt role partners with HR to drive performance management, succession planning, and process improvements.
The position offers exposure to employee relations, HR analytics, and HR projects while serving as a trusted resource to hiring managers and staff. Hybrid work environment in a law firm setting is provided.
This exempt position serves as a strategic recruiting partner and human resources professional. The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment for professional staff positions, primarily supporting business services departments. In addition, this role partners with the Human Resources team on learning and development initiatives, reporting, process improvement, and other HR projects designed to develop broad HR Generalist competencies.
The position provides an opportunity to gain progressively increasing exposure to employee relations, performance management, succession planning, organizational development, and other strategic human resources functions while serving as a trusted resource to hiring managers and employees.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
PHR, SHRM-CP, or a commitment to obtaining certification is preferred.
Must be able to move around the office up to 15% of the time to make copies, fax, file, etc. Remains stationary at least 85% of the time. This position operates computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., fax machine, copier, printer, etc.) on a regular basis. Occasionally required to move documents or files weighing up to 15 lbs. This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the Firm attorneys, clients, and staff. This position must be able to inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time.

This position is designed as a developmental pathway into an Human Resources Generalist role. The successful candidate will begin with a primary focus on recruitment and talent acquisition while progressively gaining experience in talent management, learning and development, HR analytics, process improvement, employee relations, and strategic HR initiatives. Through mentorship, project participation, and increasing responsibility, the position provides a structured opportunity for growth into a broader HR Generalist career path.
