Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking an HR Specialist to serve as the primary go-to person for benefits, policy questions, or sensitive issues. You will help Soldiers develop their Guard careers and provide personnel support across divisions.

In this role you will organize and maintain personnel records, process data entry and evaluations, arrange awards ceremonies, manage IDs and leaves, and keep filing systems up to date.

Qualifications

• Requires military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist on all human resource support matters
• Oversight of all strength management and strength distribution actions
• Responsible for the readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers
• Postal and personnel accountability support
• Maintain emergency notification data
