Alliance HCM in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a full-time HR Specialist to support multi-state payroll, onboarding, and HR systems for multiple clients. The role emphasizes accurate payroll processing, strong customer service, and proactive process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience, CPP or FPC designation, and proficiency with SaaS HR platforms. This is a daytime role with occasional overtime in a technology-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in full-cycle multi-state payroll processing, preferably within a multi-client or service bureau environment.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll tax compliance, wage and hour laws, and garnishment processing.
• Proficiency with payroll or HCM platforms; experience processing payroll within a software-as-a-service (SaaS) environment preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently under deadline pressure.
• Ability to manage a high-volume client portfolio simultaneously, balancing competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy.
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) designation.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with applicant tracking, onboarding, employee self-service, payroll, and HR systems provided by our company.
• Maintain client payroll records, time and attendance information, new hires, terminations, benefits, deductions, and support orders.
• Process full-cycle payroll from time and attendance, file feeds, and time sheets.
• Communicate with clients by phone or via email while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Seek ways to increase efficiency, learn new skills, and suggest improvements to processes; assist with special projects.
