Fifth Third Bank seeks an HR Specialist to support day-to-day Human Capital operations and coordinate core HR processes. You will assist HR Business Partners, provide reporting, and analyze data to drive Talent Management and Performance initiatives.

You will interface with HR Operations and external providers, assist with communications, and ensure timely follow-up and adherence to policies. Cincinnati, OH-based role with growth opportunities within the HR organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related area preferred.
  • 2+ years in Human Resources or related business experience preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills required.
  • Ability to coordinate and deliver on multiple large projects and requests.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and consultative communication skills and ability to interact well with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work in matrix environment across affiliates and line of business; collaborate with all stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and emphasis on quality.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution, influence and negotiation skills.

  • Provides technical support for HR applications such as HRMS including Talent/Performance Management, Recruiting, etc.
  • Utilizes Microsoft product suite to support Human Capital goals.
  • Acts as liaison with HR Operations and external service providers to support organizational changes and resolve issues.
  • Assists in preparation and distribution of communications and follow-up to meet deadlines.

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsible for day-to-day operational management, coordination, and support of core HC processes, including tasks that help deliver HC Business Consulting projects to internal customers. The HR Specialist implements coordination, formulates communications, and maintains tracking and reporting of Human Capital operating practices across the Bank for HC core processes including Talent Management, Performance Management, etc. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports more senior HR Business Partners and engages with managers and leaders within assigned business units to understand business needs and translate them into actionable HR strategies. Creates and develops reporting for HR Business Partners. Analyzes data from multiple sources to support Human Capital goals and compile it in a way that is meaningful to the end user. Develops processes, timely reporting and communications to influence management and employees to work effectively on required Human Capital tasks, such as Talent Management, Performance Management, Compensation process, etc. Identifies opportunities to simplify and streamline processes, reporting, and communication of major HC projects and initiatives. As an expert applications user, provides technical support for Human Capital applications such as, Human Resources Management system which automates HR business processes including Talent Management, Performance Management, Recruiting, Compensation, Learning, etc. Utilizes Microsoft product suite to support Human Capital goals. This may include detailed Excel reporting, Microsoft One Note, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Often consulted on "how-to's" or technical expertise for the various software applications used within Human Capital. Acts as liaison with HR Operations and external service providers (Employee Care Center) to support organization changes and help resolve employee issues. Assists in preparation and distribution of communications which may include simplification of Human Capital processes. Responsible for follow-up tracking and reporting necessary to meet deadlines. Provides insight into user experience of HR systems and provides suggestions and requests for application improvements. Identifies and resolves work flow issues and assists management in the implementation of policies and procedures.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related area preferred. 2+ years in Human Resources or related business experience preferred. Advanced computer skills required.
