Job summary

Cart.com in Houston, TX is seeking an HR Specialist to support the day‑to‑day operations of the People Team, handling inquiries, timecards, onboarding and offboarding logistics, and office‑based administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the People Team inbox, responding to employee questions and routing requests appropriately.
  • Process and track timecards for corporate employees and support payroll inputs.
  • Handle physical mail distribution, including sorting and routing to Payroll, Benefits, and other teams.
  • Support unemployment claims and employment verifications.
  • Assist with People programs and initiatives (benefits admin, surveys, engagement activities).
  • Maintain and update employee records and documentation.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding logistics.
  • Help coordinate employee engagement activities and in‑office experiences.
  • Partner with HRBP and People Ops team to support ongoing operational needs.

This role is highly operational and service-oriented, acting as a key point of contact for employees while supporting programs, systems, and internal workflows.You will provide hands-on support across People Operations, including employee inquiries, timecard management, documentation, program coordination, and office-based responsibilities.
