Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions is seeking an HR Intern to support recruitment, workforce management, and weekly reporting from our Milwaukee headquarters. The role will work closely with the HR Shared Services team to assist with onboarding, benefits, and HRIS data handling.

You will respond to inquiries from staff and managers, contribute to HR projects, and help maintain accurate HR records. This internship is based in Milwaukee, WI, and offers hands-on experience in a values-driven, inclusive

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
• Experience with Workday is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills to provide efficient and timely follow up to deadlines.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Shared Services team, complete onboarding, off-boarding, benefits, HR system data entry, and reporting tasks. Assist with onboarding of new hires.
• Respond to written and oral inquiries from employees, managers, and HR partners regarding HR questions, policies or benefits via telephone, chat, or email.
• Interface with HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, IT, and management to support employee issues.
• Resolve cases quickly and accurately in a professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner.
• Escalate complex cases to the HR Shared Services Manager.
• Assist with various HRSS projects.
• Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.

HR Intern responsible for providing support in carrying out human resources functions such as recruitment, workforce management, weekly reporting. The intern will be based in our Zurn Headquarters located in Milwaukee, WI.

Key Accountabilities

• In partnership with the Shared Services team, completes assignments in areas such as: Onboarding, Off-boarding, Benefits, HR system data entry, and Reporting. Assist with the onboarding of new hires.
• Professionally and accurately responds to written and oral inquiries from employees, managers, and HR partners regarding HR questions, HR policies or Benefits. This will include telephone, chat, or e-mail.
• Interfaces with Human Resource Partners, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, IT, and variously levels of Management to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems.
• Quickly and accurately resolves cases in professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner.
• Escalates complex cases to the HR Shared Services Manager.
• Assist with various HRSS projects.
• Other related projects and duties as assigned
