Job summary

Maverick Packaging in Elkhart, IN seeks a Human Resources and Safety Manager to lead HR and workplace safety for a growing contract manufacturer. You will own talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation, benefits, HRIS, compliance and OSHA programs to build scalable people systems for operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HR for manufacturing, Paylocity/payroll experience, strong communication, and the ability to foster a collaborative, family-oriented culture while

Qualifications

• Strong HR knowledge across recruiting, onboarding, policies, compensation and benefits.
• Experience with payroll systems and HRIS, payroll accuracy, and data integrity.
• Ability to lead employee relations, training and OSHA/safety programs.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership mindset with ability to drive compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day and strategic HR and workplace safety functions for the operation.
• Own talent acquisition, onboarding, policies and employee relations.
• Manage compensation, benefits, leave administration, and HRIS data integrity.
• Oversee compliance, culture, engagement, and OSHA/safety programs.
• Develop scalable people and safety systems to enable operational excellence.
• Drive training, documentation, and safety initiatives, and participate in safety committees.
