Town of Prosper is seeking a qualified Human Resources Risk Manager to oversee comprehensive risk management and employee safety programs in a municipal setting. This role coordinates insurance, claims, and safety initiatives to protect Town assets and promote safe service delivery.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of progressive risk management experience; professional risk credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Occupational Safety, Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in risk management, insurance/claims administration, occupational safety, or a related field; municipal or public-sector experience preferred.
• Professional designation such as ARM, CRM, CSP, or related risk/safety credential preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record; pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Under general direction of the Human Resources Director, the Risk Manager plans, coordinates, and administers the Town’s comprehensive risk management and employee safety programs.
• Identifies and evaluates operational exposures; manages insurance and claims activities; supports workplace injury prevention and workers’ compensation administration; and partners with departments to reduce losses, protect Town assets, and promote safe delivery of municipal services.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management related field
