About The Role
We are hiring an experienced HR Rep Specialist to support and administer Leave of Absence (LOA) programs across our organization. This remote position is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive professional with in-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADAAA, Workers’ Compensation, and related regulations. You will act as a subject matter expert, managing leave cases, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality support to colleagues, managers, and external partners.

Location: 100% Remote (Hours: 8am–5pm EST)

Compensation: $27.42 – $41.13 per hour

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the primary contact for LOA administration, including FMLA, STD, Workers’ Compensation, and ADAAA compliance.
  2. Evaluate leave requests, determine eligibility, calculate durations, and communicate decisions.
  3. Coordinate employee return-to-work procedures and determine appropriate next steps when leaves cannot be extended.
  4. Conduct quality checks, root cause analysis, and implement improvements in leave processes.
  5. Maintain accurate case documentation aligned with legal and compliance requirements.
  6. Support integration of leave systems with HRIS platforms (Workday, Kronos, PeopleSoft).
  7. Train HR team members on new processes and support cross-functional collaboration.
  8. Analyze leave trends and present data-driven insights to minimize organizational risk.
  9. Manage vendor interactions to ensure effective third-party support for disability and leave claims.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate degree and 4–5 years of experience in disability management or LOA administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  2. Knowledge of FMLA, ADAAA, Workers’ Compensation, and applicable federal and state laws.
  3. Background in occupational/employee health, insurance, or benefits administration.
  4. Experience managing LOA through HRIS tools and case management software.
  5. Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  6. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  7. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Experience in vendor management is a plus.
