Job summary

Ponce Bank in Bronx, NY is seeking a Recruiter to develop and implement staffing strategies, attract diverse talent, and support the organization’s growth.

You will partner with managers to craft accurate job descriptions, screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and assist with offers while ensuring compliance with employment laws.

This full-time role requires at least three years of recruiting experience and a BS/BA; HR certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years' related recruitment experience.
  • HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.


Essential Functions


  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.

  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.

  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.

  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.

  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.

  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.

  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.

  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Ancillary Functions


  • Assures adherence to Bank policies and procedures and fede ral and state reg ulatory requirements.

  • Provides cross-functional support to other areas of the department and the Bank where service or assistance is needed.

  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.


Mandatory Training Curricula

Training is required of all Bank staff as related to regulatory mandated compliance topics and courses required for specific job functions. Career enhancement training courses are also available. Please refer to course catalog and management for details.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.

  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


Physical Demands

The physical and related demands described in this section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.This job is mostly sedentary in nature, but may occasionally involve lifting files and other materials that weigh up to 20 lbs.Employees in this job must be able to work in an office environment during regular business hours where they come into regular and frequent contact with internal and external customers and other members of the public.Therefore, employees in this position are expected to have consistently positive interactions with the public.


Experience


  • A minimum of three (3) years’ related experience normally required. Management of all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.

  • HR certification preferred


Requirements

Education/Training

A B.S. or B.A. degree, or equivalent, in human resources, business, or related field or equivalent work experience, required.


Salary Range

$70,000 - $83,000
