Job description

South Dakota State University (SDState) is actively seeking a highly dedicated, people-centered Human Resource professional to join our team! Be a part of a dynamic team and provide exceptional customer service to the campus community. We are hiring for four HR Program Assistant II positions.

This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

To provide high level of customer service support for a variety of human resource activities in a Shared Service Center environment, including onboarding, validating I9s, originating EPAFs, enhanced recruitment support, and timekeeping assistance. Analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, technology, interpersonal, communication, organizational and customer-service skills are essential.

  • Handle high volume of work during peak times
  • Multi-task and shift focus without disrupting work production to meet competing demands/deadlines/timelines
  • Understand the impact of work to employees' access, benefits, leave and pay and to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to easily adapt to change
