Job Title

HR People Partner

Job Description Summary

Responsible for developing, communicating, and administering HR policies and programs under the guidance of HR Leadership within a specific geographical and/or functional area to support the company's overall business plan.

This position is remote but requires the candidate to be located in Southern, CA. The role involves travel of 25% to 50%.

Responsibilities
  1. Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations to assist managers and employees daily.
  2. Serve as an HR Business Partner to field leadership.
  3. Manage tasks, programs, and projects within the Field team.
  4. Provide strategic consulting to leadership and hiring managers on staffing, compensation, performance management, employee relations, policy compliance, and training.
  5. Lead, coach, and direct assigned HR staff as applicable.
  6. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve service efficiency.
  7. Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and national HR programs to ensure effective communication.
  8. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, including monitoring and auditing local EEO practices.
  9. Support leadership during employee transitions related to outsourcing, mergers, and acquisitions, including drafting RFP sections and participating in due diligence.
  10. Conduct employee relations counseling, mediations, investigations, and handle grievances under senior management guidance.
  11. Maintain advanced knowledge of HR systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of HR experience demonstrating sound judgment or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and delegate tasks.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to hire and retain high performers.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Proven record of excellent customer service internally and externally.
  • Detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects, professional, and customer service-focused.
Physical Requirements
  • Office work involving extended sitting and computer use.
  • Ability to talk, hear, and use hands for typing and writing.
  • Clear speech and good reading comprehension.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Good vision for reading printed materials, graphics, and screens.
