Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a People & Culture (Human Resources) Intern in Houston, TX. This hands-on role offers exposure to the full spectrum of HR functions, from recruiting and onboarding to benefits and payroll, under experienced HR leadership.

The internship runs May through August and aims to develop practical HR skills in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to influence HR strategy and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Master's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: collaborate with HR leadership on key initiatives such as compliance, recruiting, onboarding and talent management.
• Recruiting & Hiring: assist with posting openings, reviewing resumes, and coordinating interviews.
• HR Compliance & Employment Law: support application of employment laws and confidentiality.
• Employee Benefits & Payroll: assist with enrollments and payroll system awareness.
