The role supports HR operations, onboarding, benefits administration, and recruiting within a multi-state environment. The position requires strong communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills, with experience handling high-volume payroll and proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Learn all aspects of payroll preparation and support multi-state payroll processing and garnishments.
  • Provide support for all payroll groups and process off-cycle checks and garnishments.
  • Audit time and payroll data for accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax rules (ADP).
  • Support HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee record management.
  • Recruit, interview, and assist in hiring in the corporate office in collaboration with managers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Admin/Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining precise records. This position will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Learn all aspects of payroll preparation. Support multi-state payroll processing and garnishments. Audit time and payroll data for accuracy.
  • Provide support for all payroll groups.
  • Process off-cycle checks, calculate garnishments and complex deductions. Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses. Prepare and submit reporting as necessary.
  • Ensure federal, state, and local tax compliance with ADP and all authoritative bodies.
  • Support HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee record management as well as recruiting.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions in the corporate office. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, affirmative actions, and investigations.

Requirements:

Preferred Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven payroll and general HR experience.
  • Compliance with federal and state wage laws, FMLA, leave laws and ACA.
