Job summary

Merit Landscape Solutions is looking for an experienced, hands-on HR Partner to support our teams across Texas.

What You’ll Do

As our HR Partner, you'll provide day-to-day HR support across five branches and help ensure our people processes run smoothly and consistently.

• Partner with branch leadership on recruiting, critical staffing needs, and workforce planning
• Support employee relations and help leaders navigate day-to-day people matters
• Process and support payroll activities
• Coordinate with Benefits Administration (BA) to support new-hire onboarding
• Assist with annual open enrollment and employee benefit communications
• Coordinate employee surveys and support follow-up initiatives
• Execute company-wide and local HR programs
• Maintain accurate employee information in ADP
• Prepare HR reports and maintain employee data
• Provide local administrative support across the Houston branches
• Help ensure compliance with applicable employment requirements and company policies
• Travel to local branches as needed to build relationships and provide hands‑on HR support

What We’re Looking For

You'll be a strong fit if you bring a practical, service-oriented approach to HR and feel comfortable balancing the needs of employees, managers, and the business. Qualifications include:

• HR Generalist, HR Partner, or comparable hands‑on HR experience
• Experience with recruiting, employee relations, payroll, onboarding, and HR administration
• Experience supporting multiple locations, branches, or field-based teams preferred
• Spanish‑speaking required
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with employee data and reporting
• Ability to build trusted relationships with employees and leaders at all levels
• Ability to work in‑office and travel locally to branches as needed
• Experience with ADP preferred
• H-2B program experience preferred
