The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for employee clearance check process and approving independent contractor requests. They will also assist in employment verifications for campus, student contracts, ACA and ERISA Reports, and other tasks as assigned by the HR Operations Supervisor.
Independently manage the clearance checks process for all staff and student positions that require additional clearances such as background checks, ecclesiastical checks, and physical exams.
Manage the relationship with TruScreen and process all background checks for specified jobs.
Work with recruiters and hiring managers by answering questions related to the clearance check process, including post clearances process.
Reach out to campus departments for additional information to complete clearance checks.
Ensure clearances are completed in a timely manner.
Protect sensitive information and ensure confidentiality of clearance process, especially for those who do not pass.
Address clearance check issues with supervisor and/or the Employee Relations Managers as needed.
Notify Hiring Manager, Primary Recruiter, HR Business Partner and Manager of HR Operations Center when applicant does not clear.
The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
