DeWys Metal Solutions is seeking an HR Operations Specialist in Marne, MI to manage employee records, onboarding, and HRIS processes. This role supports benefits, leaves, payroll, and HR communications, contributing to a smooth, people-first workplace in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• 1–3 years HR admin, operations, benefits, payroll support, onboarding.
• Experience with HRIS, benefits, payroll, and onboarding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS transactions.
• Coordinate new hire paperwork and onboarding activities.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, leaves, payroll, and timekeeping.

What You'll Do

You'll help keep the HR engine running while creating a positive, organized experience for our team members. Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the HR details. Maintain accurate employee information, records, documentation, and HRIS transactions throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Create a great first impression. Coordinate new hire paperwork, HRIS setup, orientation schedules, and onboarding activities so new team members feel welcomed and prepared from Day 1.
• Be a go-to HR resource. Help employees with everyday questions about HR processes, PTO, benefits, handbook provisions, and where to go for additional support.
• Support benefits and payroll. Assist with benefit enrollments, life-event changes, open enrollment, time and attendance, deductions, and employee changes.
• Coordinate employee leaves. Help administer FMLA, disability, personal leaves, and other leave programs while keeping documentation, systems, employees, vendors, and payroll aligned.
• Keep employees connected. Help coordinate company events, celebrations, recognition activities, HR communications, meetings, and calendars.
• Support the full HR team. Cross-train across HR functions, share knowledge, and jump in where needed to ensure employees and leaders receive timely, consistent support.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in HR administration, HR operations, benefits, payroll support, onboarding, or a related area.
• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with HRIS, benefits, payroll, onboarding, manufacturing, or a multi-shift workforce is a plus.
