Job summary

Ahlstrom-Munksjö in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, is seeking an HR Operations professional to support the unionized 430-employee manufacturing plant. You will lead recruitment for hourly and salary staff, oversee onboarding, administer pay and benefits, enforce policies, and act as HRIS subject matter expert.

Key duties include labor relations support, job postings, EEO reporting, FMLA coordination, safety compliance, and collaboration with management to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with 3+ years HR experience.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in HRIS systems (ADP and SuccessFactors) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment for hourly and salary staff and coordinate temporary workers.
• Oversee onboarding, background checks, and new-hire testing.
• Handle routine labor relations and policy inquiries; escalate complex issues.
• Maintain EEO reporting, ADA/Equal Opportunity compliance, and HRIS data.
• Support benefit questions and open enrollment processes.
