Job summary

The Village Network is seeking a Director of HR Operations to lead day-to-day HR operations across talent management, acquisition, and benefits/leave management. This role partners with the Vice President of Human Resources to translate strategic priorities into practical, compliant HR programs and services.

The position emphasizes leadership of HR supervisors, process improvement, data-driven decision making, and a trauma-informed, equitable work environment. Ohio-based travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational leadership, or related field required.
• Minimum of five years of progressive, broad-based HR experience across multiple HR disciplines.
• PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification(s) preferred.
• Prior experience supervising and developing HR professionals or leaders required.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and judgment with escalation when needed.
• Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office; ability to improve processes through technology.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision and development to HR Supervisors and HR staff.
• Oversees HR operations: talent management, talent acquisition, and benefits/leave management.
• Partners with VP HR to implement strategy and translate priorities into practice.
• Promotes collaboration across HR and develops leadership capabilities of supervisors.
• Evaluates HR processes and technology for efficiency and standardization.
• Advises on complex employee relations matters and policy interpretation.
• Uses HR metrics and dashboards to guide decision-making and improvements.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state requirements.
