Job summary

TVHC, a nonprofit community health center, seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead employee and labor relations, HR operations, and compliance across the organization. You will partner with executives to ensure consistent HR practices and risk management.

The role oversees HR systems, policies, and processes, directs leave management, payroll oversight, analytics, and development initiatives, and supervises a team including HR Associates and an L&D Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR required.
• Minimum of eight years of progressive HR experience including leading HR functions.
• Experience in healthcare HR preferred; unionized environments preferred.
• Experience advising managers on complex employee and labor matters; knowledge of policies and CBAs.

Responsibilities

• Leads employee relations investigations, performance management, and corrective actions.
• Advises managers and leadership on complex employee issues, risk, and documentation.
• Leads labor relations activities, including grievance processes and CBA interpretation.
• Oversees HR policies, compliance, audits, and reporting across the organization.
• Oversees leave management and accommodations processes (FMLA/CFRA/PDL/ADA).
• Provides payroll oversight and HRIS data accuracy; manages HR analytics and reporting.
• Leads Learning & Development and supervises HR staff.
