Job Description
Summary

Potbelly is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Operations & Compensation Manager to oversee our HR operations and compensation strategies. The role is vital in ensuring efficient HR processes, systems, and policies, while managing foundational compensation practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong HR operations background, experience in compensation, leadership skills, and a passion for fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities
HR Process Management
  • Lead HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits, records management, performance, and offboarding.
  • Enhance HR processes for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
HRIS and Technology Management
  • Manage HRIS to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Collaborate on HR technology solutions and develop multi-year roadmaps.
Policy Development & Compliance
  • Develop, review, and update HR policies in line with laws and organizational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws.
Benefits Systems Administration
  • Work with benefits teams and vendors for system operations supporting health, wellness, and retirement plans.
  • Ensure smooth execution of total rewards programs.
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Partner to establish people analytics and metrics.
  • Provide HR performance reports to senior management.
Compensation
  • Lead compensation practices, including pay grades and incentive policies.
  • Conduct market benchmarking for competitive pay.
  • Support salary adjustments, bonuses, and incentive payouts during review cycles.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 5 years in HR operations and compensation, with leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
