Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Cumberland, WI seeks a qualified Human Resources Manager to oversee benefits, compensation, payroll, training, talent acquisition, employee relations and recognition programs at the plant level. The role focuses on policy administration, legal compliance and a proactive, service-oriented HR approach.

You will collaborate with union and management to address grievances, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive employee development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, safety, benefits administration, talent acquisition and organizational development.
• Ability to self-direct, multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Professionalism, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft software and good communications skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with good judgment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Bi-lingual ability preferred when working with bilingual/non-English staff.
• Weekend work during peak production times is to be expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage HR policies and procedures at the plant level.
• Recruit, interview and orient new employees for open positions.
• Administer benefits programs, FMLA/Leave, Safety and Workers' Compensation.
• Conduct required HR/Legal compliance training for all employees.
• Manage personnel files and changes, disciplinary actions and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; resolve grievances with union and management.
