Job summary

Emerald Crest is hiring an HR Manager to support three memory care communities across Burnsville, Minnetonka, and Shakopee. The role covers HR, payroll, benefits, onboarding and employee relations with a focus on consistent processes.

You will partner with managers to create a positive employee experience, process payroll bi-weekly, and ensure HR policies are followed across locations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Human Resources with payroll responsibilities.
• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
• Experience with payroll/HR software; UKG preferred.
• Familiarity with Leave of Absence and Workers' Compensation.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department managers to interview and send offers.
• Coordinate onboarding including background checks and references.
• Schedule and assist new hire orientation.
• Answer questions on HR, benefits, payroll and leave.
• Process new hire and termination paperwork.
• Manage benefits enrollments and changes.
• Administer HR policies and employee retention.
• Handle unemployment claims.
• Record and update employee data in HRIS and files.
• Backup payroll processing; bi-weekly payroll.
• Oversee online training compliance and evaluations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
