Work Schedule: This position offers a 40 hour work week. Hours and schedule may vary, but will typically be Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive previous experience in Employee Relations preferred.

Position Summary

The Auxiliary Services HR Manager for Employee Relations will oversee and provide support for any and all employee relations matters across all Division operating units. This may include, but would not be limited to: EOO matters, department employee relations, legal compliance, Worker’s Comp, FMLA, Leave without Pay, and ADA accommodations.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) with a wide range of people in a diverse environment.
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
Duties/Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
  • Serves as internal consultant for facilitating workplace inquiries/concerns.
  • Oversee and participate in employee conduct investigations.
  • Primary contact regarding ADA and FMLA inquiries.
  • Create and maintain appropriate documentation.
Retention:
  • Coordinate retention efforts for Auxiliary Services units.
  • Facilitate the exit process for departures.
  • Conduct exit interviews and collect data.
Supervision:
  • Responsible for supervising all Employee Relations positions.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing.
Other Duties as Assigned:
  • Create and maintain various forms and reports.
  • Provide HR support as necessary to the division staff.
