Job description

The HR Manager is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence business strategy, develop leaders, enhance employee engagement, and help drive a growing organization through a period of meaningful transformation.

Ideal candidates have a strong manufacturing HR background, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to influence and drive change.

This position is full-time on-site in Southern New Hampshire. Relocation assistance is provided if applicable.

Our client, a market-leading manufacturer with a strong legacy of innovation and operational excellence, is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR for its largest manufacturing facility in Southern New Hampshire.

The Human Resources Manager will be a key member of the site leadership team, partnering closely with operations and business leaders to help drive organizational performance, develop leadership capability, and support a growing workforce.

The role leads a small HR team while balancing both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. This is a true hands-on position within a lean organization where leaders are expected to roll up their sleeves, execute, and drive results.

Areas of focus will include strategic business partnership, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, talent acquisition strategy, and compliance.

The ideal candidate is a proven manufacturing HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys being deeply embedded in the business. They are equally comfortable coaching senior leaders, influencing peers across the leadership team, and building credibility with hourly employees throughout the organization.

Successful applicants will have experience leading organizations through growth, operational challenges, or significant change, with a demonstrated ability to strengthen leadership effectiveness, improve communication, and foster a high-performance environment. They combine strategic thinking with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality and have the confidence to influence decision-making while earning trust across the organization.

Description
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and site leadership team on talent, organizational, and workforce-related matters.
  • Help leaders improve alignment, accountability, and overall leadership effectiveness.
  • Influence and coach managers across the organization to drive stronger employee and business outcomes.
  • Partner with operations leadership to support growth initiatives, workforce planning, and organizational development efforts.
  • Lead and develop the onsite HR team while fostering a collaborative and service-oriented environment.
  • Utilize data, trends, and workforce insights to support business decision-making.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, employee relations, communication, and team effectiveness.
  • Support recruiting strategies to attract skilled manufacturing talent in a competitive labor market.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and succession opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee compensation, employee records, HR systems, leave administration, and workforce reporting.

  • Ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational execution.
  • Strong employee relations and leadership coaching background.
