Kroger in Romulus, MI is seeking an HR Administrative Support Specialist to assist in all HR practices, focusing on respect, integrity and inclusion. You will guide HR staff and provide support to Logistics associates in the distribution center.

The role requires clerical experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will help manage unemployment, leave of absence, benefits enrollment, and HR records while complying with company guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' clerical experience.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision; self-motivated.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support Human Resource staff with structure on all HR related practices
• Provide Human Resource support to Logistics associates within the distribution center
• Oversee, track and submit unemployment claims and leave of absences
• Report Workers' Compensation claims
• Assist with benefit and insurance enrollments
• Administer and comply with Work Opportunity Tax Credits
• Ensure personnel files are maintained according to company guidelines
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
