The Care Quality Commission is seeking an HR Investigator (Bank) to support its inspection program by leading investigations into employee relations. This role involves managing sensitive investigations and collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance with policies. In the last year as aHR Investigator (Bank)in thePeople Directorate, you might have:
Led a complex grievance investigation involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring a fair and timely resolution that aligned with CQC’s values and employment law.
Supported a whistleblowing case by gathering evidence, conducting sensitive interviews, and presenting findings that informed senior decision-making.
The role
You’ll be key in helping us deliver our work. In this role, you’ll:
Lead investigations: Manage end-to-end investigations into misconduct, grievances, whistleblowing, and other workplace concerns, ensuring fairness and compliance with policy and law.
Collaborate and advise: Work closely with colleagues across the People and Legal teams to ensure best practice and consistent application of employment policies.
Report and present findings: Produce clear, well-documented investigation reports and, where needed, present evidence at Employment Tribunals.

We’ll be looking for the following skills, knowledge and experience in your application form:
Experience leading complex employee relations investigations, including grievances, with a clear understanding of employment law and best practice.
Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism, building trust with colleagues at all levels.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, evidence-based reports and explain findings to a range of audiences.
Compliance
