• Current enrollment or recent completion of a bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Psychology, or another related field
• Preferred: current enrollment or recent completion of a master's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Psychology, or another related field
• Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in a long-term HR career
• Clear communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to adapt to new environments and work collaboratively
• Willingness to work in production/plant locations (non-corporate environments)
• Relocation flexibility

Responsibilities

• Support HR leaders and team members on projects spanning employee relations, compliance, talent management and more
• Assist with HRIS systems and data integrity, reporting and analytics
• Collaborate to align HR strategy with broader business goals and culture initiatives
• Participate in investigations, trainings and process improvements within the plant environment

The Opportunity

The HR internship at Smurfit Westrock is designed to provide comprehensive trainingexperiencesforemerging human resources professionals. Inaddition to mentorship and professional development training, interns will have the opportunityto support the HR team with various projects spanning employee relations, compliance, talent management, and more!

Program Experience

• Exposure to key HR focus areas including (but not limited to): Labor Relations, HR Compliance, HRIS Systems, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Succession Planning, Conducting Investigations, and Performance Management.
• Support HR leaders and teammembersprojects and assignments whichalign the HR strategy with broader business goals and reinforce company culture.
• Fuel innovationby embracing fresh,diverse thinkingandfuture-readyapproaches,preparing our businesses for the evolving workforce and technologies.
