PSECU Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union is seeking an HR Student Worker to support the Human Resources team by providing clerical duties and assistance in various HR functions. This role includes maintaining files, assisting with HR events, and serving as the first contact for employee inquiries.

The ideal candidate must be a current student pursuing a relevant degree or certification and should have a high school diploma or equivalent. The position maintains a strong emphasis on confidentiality and adherence to credit union policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; equivalent experience and education acceptable.
• Must be a current student actively pursuing a degree or certification for the duration of the internship/student worker assignment.
• Must meet PSECU’s minimum employment eligibility requirements, including being at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.

Job description

The HR Student Worker at the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union is a key contributor to the Human Resources team, responsible for providing clerical support and assistance to various HR functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties such as data entry, making copies, filing, purging files, maintaining form binders, checking e‑bulletin boards, and distributing HR mail.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking HR assistance, answering general questions or directing them to the appropriate HR manager.
• Prepare and send out employment application packets and gather new employee materials.
• Assist with various projects assigned in the department and support HR events (e.g., Health Fair, Blood Drive, Book Fair, Education Fair, Annual Sportswear order). May include making phone calls within/outside PSECU.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding personal affairs, credit union account information, personnel files, conversations, and e‑emails of employees and members.
• Maintain a working knowledge of credit union policies and forms associated with HR functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
