Job summary

Valvoline Global Operations is seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to gain hands-on experience across Total Rewards, Organization Design, Talent Acquisition, and Data Analytics at our Cincinnati, OH campus. The paid, on-site internship runs up to 12 weeks starting May 2027, with an in-office schedule (4 days/week).

The Human Resource Intern will support Valvoline Global Operations’ (VGO) HR teams. We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to gain hands‑on experience in various HR functions through a structured rotational program. This internship provides exposure to Total Rewards, Organization Design, Talent Acquisition, and Data Analytics, allowing interns to develop a well‑rounded understanding of HR operations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail‑oriented, and ready to contribute to key HR initiatives.

Valvoline Global Operations Americas Headquarters is located in Cincinnati, OH. We prefer candidates willing to work an in‑office work schedule (4x per week).

How You’ll Make an Impact

During the internship, you will rotate through the following HR functions:

• Total Rewards:
• Assist with employee compensation and benefits programs.
• Support wellness initiatives and assist with benefits enrollment.
• Research industry trends related to compensation, benefits, and rewards strategies.
• Organization Design:
• Support OD Team in analyzing and optimizing organizational structures.
• Assist in job analysis and role alignment.
• Contribute to change management.
• Talent Acquisition:
• Assist with developing onboarding processes and new hire orientations.
• Contribute to employer branding and recruitment marketing strategies.
• Data Analytics:
• Support analysis of HR metrics.
• Assist in maintaining HR reports and dashboards using data visualization tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in HR rotations and support each team with ongoing projects.
• Conduct research and contribute insights to enhance HR processes.
• Manage HR‑related administrative tasks, including document processing and data entry.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive employee information.

What You’ll Need

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong interest in HR functions, particularly talent management, compensation, and organizational development.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt and learn in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with HR software, HRIS, or data visualization tools is a plus
• Must be able to work on‑site at VGO’s Cincinnati, OH headquarters.
