Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP is seeking an HR Generalist in Nashville to support the CHRO and HR Systems team. You will serve as a trusted HR advisor and facilitator for firmwide HR functions, balancing policy with compassionate guidance.

The successful candidate will handle confidential information, collaborate across offices, and manage multiple HR projects while delivering high-quality client service and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years HR experience in a professional service or fast-paced environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) and HRIS experience.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects with discretion and confidentiality.
• Outstanding written and oral communication and client service.

Responsibilities

• Support HRIS team to assist local offices and firmwide departments, including approvals for new, replacement, or temporary positions.
• Review job postings for compliance and coordinate with local HR advisors on staffing.
• Track open job requisitions and contingent workers; prepare regular reports for CHRO and Senior HR Systems Manager.
• Administer the background check process and assist with related documentation.
• Assist in compliance initiatives (EEO-1, VETS-100, Affirmative Action) and policy updates.
• Help maintain employee records and HR documentation per legal requirements.
• Coordinate employee agreements, separation releases, and related documentation including routing for Legal review.
• Assist with HR rollouts, communications, and training programs.
