Job summary

Traffic Tech Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist in Long Beach, CA to support the employee lifecycle through guidance, investigations, and policy interpretation. This on-site role requires strong HR experience and compliance knowledge.

The successful candidate will partner with the legal team, conduct background checks, support onboarding, and help build relationships to boost morale, productivity, and retention.

Qualifications

• Five years of HR experience with broad policy, program and project exposure across the employee lifecycle.
• Workday HCM experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
• Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds and navigate facilities.

Responsibilities

• Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and investigations.
• Attend and participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, and partner with legal as needed.
• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management.
• Work with management and employees to improve relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring; collaborate with managers to identify skills and competencies.
• Conduct or acquire background checks and eligibility verifications.
• Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
