Job summary

University of Redlands is seeking an HR Generalist II to foster a positive, inclusive work environment and provide advanced, client-centered HR support for a wide range of functions including employee relations, retention, policy interpretation, and workforce support.

As a Level II professional, you will handle complex matters with independence, partner with HR leadership, and contribute to performance management and development initiatives for staff and faculty.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, organizational development, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive professional HR experience, including relations and compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex and sensitive workplace issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support and implement HR strategies, programs, processes, and policies across assigned departments, programs, and schools.
  • Provide day-to-day HR administration with discretion and judgment; triage inquiries.
  • Coach and advise people leaders on performance management, employee relations, retention, and career development.
  • Support supervisors in addressing complex performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation.
  • Conduct workplace reviews and investigations with proper documentation and resolution.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on workplace policies, compliance, conflict resolution, and performance management.
