Job summary

ASE is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist II – Benefits & Administration to join our HR team in Michigan. The role focuses on administering employee benefits, maintaining HR records, supporting leave programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering excellent service to employees and managers.

The position balances benefits administration, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations to foster a positive workplace experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR or related field.
• 4+ years in HR, benefits administration or HR operations.
• Experience with Paycom HRIS is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance.
• Manage enrollment changes, terminations and COBRA/renewals as applicable.
• Support leave administration including FMLA and ADA accommodations.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and payroll deductions.
• Assist with annual open enrollment planning and communications.
• Generate HR reports and analytics as needed.
• Serve as first point of contact for benefits questions from employees and managers.
