Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist manages daily HR functions, including orientation, compensation, report generation, and policy enforcement. This role involves professional HR work across areas such as staffing, employee relations, compensation, training, employment, labor relations, safety, and employment research.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily HR workflow across various branches within the district, maintaining related records.
- Assesses and communicates company policies, programs, and procedures to employees and management.
- May supervise support and clerical staff.
- Collaborates with the Corporate Talent Acquisition Department to facilitate timely hiring, understanding role requirements.
- Advises supervisors and managers on resolving employee work issues.
- Maintains accurate employee records, including job classification, pay rates, and organizational structure.
- Supervises and may conduct new hire orientations.
- Administers HR programs, including DayForce management, leaves, resignations, terminations, discipline, exit interviews, uniform inventory, and Loomis Academy training.
- Assists with employee record updates in DayForce, such as benefits and address changes.
- Handles employee disputes and investigations under DHRM oversight.
- Ensures compliance with HR audit requirements.
- Addresses employment inquiries, including sensitive matters.
- Maintains compliance with employment laws and reviews policies for improvements.
- Participates in unemployment documentation and hearings.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the District HR Manager.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, or
- 3-5 years of HR experience with proven proficiency
