Job summary

Campos EPC is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to manage training, compliance, and employee matters in the United States. You will review background checks, drug screens, and eligibility verifications while maintaining HRIS data and policies.

You will support investigations, payroll-related tasks, and LOA tracking with the HR team. You will collaborate with safety on drug testing, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to policy development and organizational reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of human resource experience.
  • SHRM-CP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Review and document employee training participation and certifications.
  • Screen background checks, drug screens, and employment eligibility verifications.
  • Investigate and resolve general employee matters with HR team.
  • Administer compensation, overtime, leaves, disciplinary matters, and investigations.
  • Collaborate with safety on drug/alcohol testing requirements.
  • Handle inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
  • Track LOA requests (FMLA/CFRA, PDL, PFL) with HR administration.
  • Participate in disciplinary meetings and terminations.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and develop SOPs.
  • Monitor HR trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies.
  • Maintain HR information systems and generate reports.

Job description

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents employee participation in mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Reviews background checks, drug screens, and employment eligibility verifications. Identifies variances from accepted guidelines and escalates matters to the Senior Human Resources Director as needed.
  • Works with other Human Resources Department staff and various internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve general employee matters.
  • Performs complex tasks required to administer and execute human resource policies and programs including but not limited to compensation, overtime pay, leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; random drug testing process, productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Works in collaboration with safety department on drug and alcohol testing requirements, occupational health and safety matters.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Senior Human Resources Director.
  • Works with Compensation & Benefits Administrator on tracking LOAs requests (FMLA / CFRA, PDL, PFL) and assists in completion of state and federal forms.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Assists in developing company-wide SOPs.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Monitors and updates all the related HR information systems with relevant employee
  • Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and various reports including but not limited to EEO-1, affirmative action plans, organizational charts, and employee handbooks.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years of human resource experience
  • SHRM-CP
