Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an HR role (generalist, coordinator, or specialist background welcome).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Solid communication skills and discretion with sensitive conversations.
• Working knowledge of HR fundamentals (employment law basics, benefits, recruiting).
• Experience with HRIS systems and common MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruiting: posting roles, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and assisting managers with hiring decisions.
• Own onboarding for new hires and create a welcoming first-90-days experience.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits, and day-to-day HR needs.
• Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and leave management.
• Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support performance management processes, including tracking timelines and preparing materials for managers.
• Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, culture events, and internal communications.
• Partner with HR team on special projects — process improvements, policy updates and more.
• Maintain and improve HR documentation, handbooks, and standard operating procedures.
