Job summary

Bunzl Distribution is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support our Piperton, Tennessee and Glenwood, Arkansas facilities. This onsite role partners with operations leaders to drive employee engagement, performance management, investigations, and HR compliance for a workforce of over 250 team members.

You will serve as a trusted partner, handling employee relations, coaching managers, maintaining HRIS data, and delivering HR programs across multiple sites while ensuring adherence to

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in a generalist or broad HR support role.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, performance management, and HR best practices.
• Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, conflict-resolution, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted partnerships with employees and leaders while promoting a positive, high-performance workplace culture.
• Serve as the primary HR resource for warehouse and operations team members within the assigned locations.
• Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations matters, performance management, corrective action, and policy interpretation.
• Support disciplinary processes, workplace investigations, and employee separations in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Partner with managers to identify, address, and resolve workplace issues through proactive and practical HR solutions.
• Administer and maintain employee records, HRIS data, and HR‑related documentation with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Facilitate employee onboarding, offboarding, and engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate and administer workers’ compensation activities, including communication with employees, managers, and third‑party administrators.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to support retention and employee experience initiatives.
• Assist with training and development programs, leadership development initiatives, and compliance‑related training.
• Generate HR reports, analyze workforce data, and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with operations and cross‑functional teams to implement HR programs, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current on employment laws, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure organizational compliance.
• Participate in special projects and other HR initiatives as assigned.
