Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide full cycle HR support for plant and sales staff. The role partners with the HR Manager on projects including benefits, compliance, recruitment, and employee relations.

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year HR degree (PHR/SHRM CP preferred) with 4+ years of HR experience, strong communication, confidentiality, and multitasking abilities. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree preferred in HR or Industrial Relations
• PHR or SHRM CP certification preferred
• 4 years related HR employee support experience
• Professional interpersonal skills, verbal/written communication and computer skills
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to handle highly confidential information
• Excellent organization, administrative and creative problem solving skills
• Must interface with employees on all shifts
• Travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Provides full cycle HR support to plant and sales employees
• Supports HR Manager and other generalists on assigned projects
• Manages all parts of the employee life cycle including benefits and HRIS
• Interacts with employees on HR processes and policy
• Maintains personnel records and supports audits
• Assists with new hires, terminations, compensation, benefits coordination and training
• Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and post jobs
• Trains new generalists on administration of benefits and HR processes
• May travel to multiple locations for training or onsite support
• Performs other related duties as required
