Zef Scientific, Inc. in Lake Forest, CA seeks an experienced Human Resource Generalist to support HR and admin functions for U.S. operations. You will ensure compliance with laws and best practices, manage HR processes, and contribute to a cross-border environment.

The role requires strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills to assist with payroll, records, onboarding, and offboarding, while supporting talent development and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field
• 5+ years in HR and office administration
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws, HR compliance, and workplace standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll, benefits, and time management using HR software
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and employee files
• Provide day-to-day HR support for U.S. employees
• Coordinate performance reviews, documentation, and follow-ups
• Develop and administer HR policies and programs
• Support talent acquisition, onboarding, and offboarding
• Assist with benefits administration and payroll coordination
• Ensure compliance with U.S. employment laws and workplace regulations
• Participate in HR projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate employee relations and workplace communications
• Coordinate recruitment activities and interviews
• Maintain job descriptions and training records
• Coordinate exit interviews and retention initiatives
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Provide general administrative support to management
