Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, labor relations or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in HR.

  • Experience in manufacturing environment; problem-solving automated timekeeping systems and orientation of new associates.
  • Ability to multi-task and organize multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving at strategic and functional levels.

  • Commitment to teamwork, coaching, and being a strong team player.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in resolution of workplace conflicts; coach supervision on absenteeism, turnover and plant efficiencies.
  • Ensure consistent policy application in issue resolution.
  • Provide training to supervisory personnel on policies and procedures.
  • Lead effective, timely new hire orientation using approved materials.
  • Schedule, conduct, audit and identify new methods to improve orientation.
  • Coach supervisory personnel to direct their workforce effectively.
  • Participate in Peer Review and Management Review processes.
  • Identify, design and audit methods to reduce turnover.

Summary

Support a positive, engaging workplace where associates and leaders can thrive. As an Associate Relations Representative, you will help deliver key HR programs that support the employee experience, including leading new hire orientation and building strong relationships with associates and management across the facility. In this role, you will serve as a trusted HR partner, helping foster a collaborative work environment while supporting initiatives that promote engagement, communication, and organizational success. This position is ideal for a people focused professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting employees throughout their journey, and contributing to a strong, team-oriented culture.

Schedule

Shift hours for this position are, generally 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM.

  • Effectively participate in the resolution of conflict in the workplace, coach and counsel supervision on methods to improve absenteeism, turnover and plant efficiencies.
  • Ensure consistent policy application in the resolution of issues addressed.
  • Provide training to supervisory personnel on policies and procedures.
  • Ensure newly hired associates receive an effective, timely, informative new hire orientation utilizing the company approved format and materials.
  • Schedule, conduct, facilitate, audit and identify new methods to improve new hire orientation.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to supervisory personnel to improve the supervisor’s ability to effectively direct their workforce.
  • Participate in Peer Review and Management Review process.
  • Identify, design, train, implement and audit new methods to reduce turnover.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience.
  • Proven success in writing, updating and auditing Affi­? (maybe "Affi­…")
  • Previous experience in working in a manufacturing environment; proven experience in problem-solving automated timekeeping systems and orientation of new associates.
  • Must be able to multi-task and organize multiple projects.
  • Requires strong analytical skills, analyzing and resolving problems at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Must have knowledge of and ability to provide strong customer orientation along with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and a commitment to excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Requires knowledge of a commitment to team performance, effective coaching and demonstrated skills or a strong team player.
  • Requires travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
When in a plant environment
  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
  • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facility.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
  • May need to climb ladders.
